Police were able to track down Jaila using the pinned map she’d sent her boyfriend – and have since charged a man named Timothy Wilson with kidnapping, hijacking a motor vehicle, aggravated assault, rape, aggravated sodomy, false imprisonment, and aggravated assault against a police officer.

A woman managed to escape her kidnapper with the help of a mobile phone after she was quick-thinking enough to send an SOS message to her boyfriend alongside her exact location.

Jaila Gladden relayed the incident to BuzzFeed News – explaining that she was in the parking lot of a convenience store when a man forced her into a car with the threat of a knife.

Let’s get checking out an update from MTV News…

The kidnapper began driving in the direction of Atlanta, before allegedly pulling over and sexually assaulting her. Jaila’s opportunity for escape came when the man began driving again and needed directions towards a gas station.

Jaila talked him into letting her use her phone, which is when she quickly contacted her boyfriend with the word “kidnapped” before using the maps feature to drop her exact location in the message.
