There has been SO much to listen to this week in the music world! From emotional confession songs, to anthems, to bouncey bangers to grime – this week has had everything.

Ariana Grande – ‘The Light is Coming’ (Ft. Nicki Minaj)

Ariana Grande continues to reign queen. This Pharrell Williams produced track is the second song released from her upcoming album Sweetener, and has a distinctly N.E.R.D. feel to the bouncy production – which we can’t get out of our heads. To top it off, Nicki Minaj delivers a fire verse to open the song. Definitely don’t miss this one!

Demi Lovato – ‘Sober’

This one is probably the most genuine, raw and honest pop song we’ve ever heard. It’s Demi Lovato confessing to her fans, her family, and herself that she’s broken her sobriety after being sober for 6 years. This one’s emotional- get some tissues ready.

Years & Years – ‘Palo Santo’

The title track off of their upcoming album Palo Santo, this song is another powerful but catchy tune from Olly Alexander & co. Following their 2015 debut Communion, the new album will be released on the 6th of July.

Cheat Codes x Little Mix – ‘Only You’

The LA based electronic music DJ trio Cheat Codes come together with UK girl group Little Mix to make a club-ready emotional banger.

Tom Walker – ‘My Way’

This new Tom Walker single is MASSIVE. It’s so grand, so powerful, and the electronic production that carries it inflates the colourful, overwhelming feel of it.

Peter Cottontale – ‘Forever Always’ (Ft. Rex Orange County, Chance The Rapper, Daniel Caesar, Madison Ryann Ward & Yebba)

The Social Experiment keyboardist has recruited an all-star cast for this beautiful and oh so wholesome new track ‘Forever Always’. This is the sweetest Friday treat.

Jax Jones – Ring Ring (Ft Mabel & Rich The Kid)

London Based DJ and producer Jax Jones brings another sunny, cheerful house track – and in classic Jax Jones fashion it incorporates a wide range of influences. It’s got an uplifting dancehall vibe which Mabel’s vocals ride brilliantly, yet also manages to find space from a rap verse from Rich The Kid.

Sketpa & Wizkid – ‘Energy (Stay Far Away)’

This new track has Wizkid’s sweet, charming positive vibes with Skepta‘s fire bars riding over top. Hearing Skepta, who most frequently raps over aggressive UK garage and jungle, on this chill summer vibe beat is super refreshing.

Jaden Smith – GHOST (Ft. Christian Rich)

19-year-old rapper and son of Will Smith – Jaden Smith has delivered a brand-new track ‘GHOST’. It’s one of those trap tracks that you can’t help but bob your head to, and has a great fun new video where he rolls around Tokyo.

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike – When I Grow Up (Ft. Wiz Khalifa)

This one’s more of a slower anthem, but rather tongue-in-cheek so: “When I grow up, I wanna be like Wiz Khalifa // Have lots of cool stuff”. Wiz Khalifa is a pleasant addition to this edm anthem from the Belgian producer duo.

Yxng Bane – ‘Both Sides’

The East London rapper and singer Yxng Bane returns with new banger ‘Both Sides’. The artist describes himself as one that “doesn’t belong to any genre”. He’s definitely worth checking out now, soon he’ll be internationally renowned.

PRETTYMUCH – ‘Summer On You’

Written by the one and only Ed Sheeran, this boyband is leading the resurgence of the popularity of boybands by breaching the gap between contemporary boybands and those of the past.

Florence + The Machine – ‘Big God’

Florence Welch makes absolute art out of music videos. Her song and brand-new video for ‘Big God’ is all about ghosting someone, but represented in interpretative dance. Of course, with Florence being ghosted isn’t merely bad, it’s presented as an ungodly sin.
