Um, this might just be the greatest thing that’s ever happened to us. Jughead Jones aka Cole Sprouse has immediately started making use of that motorbike that the Southside Serpents kindly gifted him, and is fast becoming a resident bad boy. And despite Betty Cooper not initially being thrilled about the whole thing, we love that she’s soon hopping on the back of it living her best life.

Happy Riverdale day, gang! Everyone’s fave new series is finally back in our lives with a brand new season, and after just one episode it’s already a thousand times darker than we could have ever imagined.

And because it was quite the most dramatic series opener, there are just a few plot points we seriously need to discuss with you. You know, like the small matter of that completely unexpected ending.

But before all that, why not check out this super revealing clip of KJ Apa giving us some season two gossip?

*SPOILERS AHEAD*

Jughead still refuses to accept that he’s a part of the Southside Serpents now.

Um, this might just be the greatest thing that’s ever happened to us. Jughead Jones aka Cole Sprouse has immediately started making use of that motorbike that the Southside Serpents kindly gifted him, and is fast becoming a resident bad boy. Riverdale's Archie Andrews is scared about his dad's fate in the season premiere of the show.

Archie isn’t planning on sleeping anytime soon.

Now that Fred is safely home after thankfully surviving the season one finale shooting, Archie has made it his life’s mission to protect him. Why? Well for one he feels super guilty about freezing when it happened, and two because he doesn’t think the killer is done. So we don’t totally blame him.

Riverdale's Veronica thinks her mum might actually be a murderer.

Things get chilling between this mother and daughter.

Now that Veronica’s (absolute babe of a) dad is out of prison, she’s pointing all of the fingers that she’s got at her own family when it comes to Fred’s shooter. Only she’s moved on from the idea of it being her own father, and instead reckons it’s her mum who’s behind it. CHILLING.

Cheryl Blossom sure does know how to make an entrance.

As well as the entire town being at the hospital to support Archie, Cheryl was also there with her mum after the fire all but engulfed her and left her with serious burns. Meanwhile Chezza Blossom topped the whole thing off by telling her: “If you tell anyone the truth about what happened with the fire, I’ll tell everyone what really happened at the barn with daddy.”

Riverdale's infamous Miss. Grundy has not so great time in the season premiere.

How will Archie react to Miss Grundy’s fate?

Oh hi Miss. Grundy, you’re back! How are you? Oh you’re teaching music, that’s nice. Oh wait no, you’re now making out with said young student. Um what’s that scary sounding music? Ah yes, now you’re dead by someone who looks like Fred Andrews’ shooter. HELLO SEASON TWO.
